College Prep is offered to high school seniors who desire to explore options after high school. Students are assisted in reviewing colleges/universities, vocational opportunities, and military choices. Seniors are required to take ACT testing, apply for FAFSA, complete career assessment, apply for college admission and a required number of scholarship applications. Skills attained include creating personal portfolios, resumes, writing scholarship essays, as well as utilizing available resources in achieving their goals after high school graduation.
Mrs. Smith has taught in schoool systems through the Bureau of Indian Affairs, public, and tribal schools. She holds an Associate degree from Bacone College, Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees from Northeastern State University. Her certification is in Elementary Education, Exceptional Education, and Library Media/Information Technology. She is a full-blood Indian of the Muscogee Creek and Seminole tribes.
